  • Geometry and Spatial Recognition: Practice more spatial language by helping your child make a map of his bedroom, backyard, or other familiar area of the house. As they place and space out furniture, windows, and closets, or gardens, trees, and bushes, ask him questions about where they're located and how close together they are. Use a ruler, yardstick, meter stick, etc. in measuring and placing items.

Science -

  • Try holding your breath. What happens to your chest and throat? Do you notice a struggle between your lungs and your effort to control your breathing? Why Do You Breathe? Watch the following video about the respiratory system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOKmjYwfDGU
  •  Draw a picture and label the lungs, diaphragm, and trachea

  • Build a snowball fort or igloo. Send Mrs. Parker a picture.

  • Read John 1 in the Bible. Jesus was called the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Did He take the blame for something we have done? Have you ever taken the blame for something someone else did? Has someone taken the blame for what you’ve done? How did you feel? How did they feel? What did you do about it? Think of kind things you can do for others. Include a minimum of 5. Write them down. Draw a series of pictures of kind things that you can do for others. Then for one week, put into practice all of the kind things you listed you can do for others. What changes do you notice in others? What changes do you notice in yourself?
