Snow Day 3

Updated: February 6, 2020

1st-3rd -

Math -

  • With your parents, figure out how many hours we were on the road. If we left at 7 am to Schweitzer, got to the mountain at 8:00, and left Schweitzer at 3:30, how many hours were we at the ski hill? If we returned to town at 10:30 pm, how many hours were we traveling home from the mountain? How many hours in total were we gone? How many minutes would that be? Seconds?

Language Arts -

  • Read a book of your choice for 30 minutes (1st and 2nd grades will need to do this with parents).
  • Study spelling words by writing each word once. Lesson 20
  • Write a thank you note to Pizza Hut for allowing us to crash in the restaurant for a few hours while we waited for the roads to open again.

Social Studies -

  • Create an activity that we can do as a class/school to help and benefit our community. What would it look like? When would we go? Where would we go? What would we do? Draw a picture to help illustrate what we would do.

PE -

  • Play outside for 20-30 minutes or more!

Bible -

  • Think of kind things that you can do for others.
  • Draw a series of pictures of kind things you can do for others.
  • For one week, put into practice the things that you can do for others. What do you see in others? What do you see in yourself?

Art -

  • Create a card for your thank you note for Pizza Hut.
  • Draw a picture to represent what each word means.
